Cloggeroo – the Island Folk Festival is held in a big top tent at West Street Park, in the community of Georgetown, on the banks of the Brudenell River. Facing west, the festival is treated to gorgeous sunsets. On the river, boaters come in and have a front row seat to the festival and the fireworks. The festival also has an in-town private festival campground; live music on the beach; and all the amenities of an historic Island beachside town make it hard to imagine wanting to set up anywhere else.

The Waterfront Stage is within walking distance of all of Georgetown’s amenities – accommodations, the boat docks, the local convenience store, and restaurants and cafés. However, if your feet are too tired from dancing, the Cloggeroo Shuttle Vans (free to all ticket holders) will be making their regular rounds to get you safely around town all weekend long.

All music (with the exception of the free show on the beach on Saturday 5-6pm) will take place at the Waterfront Stage. And because we love you all so much, the stage and bar areas are conveniently protected by a glamorous big top tent! Rain or shine, you’ll have a dry, shaded spot all weekend long to take in some of the best music from across Canada. Don’t worry – we have plenty of space available around the tent for basking in the August sunshine, and we make sure there’s still a wide-open view of that sparkling Brudenell River.

A Green Festival

We eliminated single use plastic cups from the bar area, instead re-usable lidded cups that can be rented are available. Individuals pay a $5 deposit for a cup; this is refunded at the end of the night provided the cup is returned in reusable condition. We do not sell single use plastic water bottles, instead we provide water stations where people are encouraged to fill up their own water bottles, or to use a paper cup. We only use recyclable paper bowls, plates, and cutlery in the artist hospitality tent.

In an attempt to keep the audience and the entire community safe, the festival provides a free shuttle van service for people who are wearing festival bracelets. The vans have a specified route around the community all day and continue their service into the late night making sure that everyone has reached their overnight destination safely. All musicians have a phone number as the van service is “on demand” for musicians and their gear getting to sound check, to the tent for their performance, back to their cottage, etc.

Food & Vendors

Food and merchandise vendors are on site right inside the gates, as well as a licensed bar area for 19+. There’s basically no reason to ever leave. Consider yourself a Cloggeroo lifer!
